WIPA NTC Supplemental Training: Providing Effective Work Incentives Supports on Other Federal Programs Web Course - Regions 3, 4, 6, 9
Format: Web Course
Date(s): July 12 - August 6, 2010
Description:
This supplemental training web course is designed to provide WIPA personnel with enhanced information, strategies and tools related to the following six key federal benefit programs:
- Assets for Independence Individual Development Accounts
- Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
- Food Stamp Program
- Housing and Urban Development
- Unemployment Insurance

The web course will build on information provided on these federal programs in the WIPA National Training Curriculum. For each of the benefit programs, web course lessons will include the following: a brief review of program eligibility and rules; the impact of work on these benefits; detailed descriptions of work incentive provisions; tips for verification; working effectively with program personnel; and follow-up.
