WIPA NTC Supplemental Training: Practical Tips and Tools for Making PASS Work Web Course - Regions 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10

Description:

This 6 week web course provides practical information on how to support a beneficiary in using a PASS.   The PASS web course is made up of 3 separate lessons that not only cover the critical details about PASS you need to know, but also provide you the tools you need to be effective in supporting beneficiaries in using PASS.  All together, the 3 lessons will cover the core PASS concepts & requirements, provide you tools and tips for assisting beneficiaries developing, requesting and maintaining a PASS, and provide you with the details about how PASS interacts with other public benefits and work incentives.

 

During this training you will learn:

 

1.         How to identify when someone is a good PASS candidate

2.         The purpose of each question on the PASS application and tips for how

            to effectively answer each question

3.         Simple techniques for putting together a PASS budget

4.         The process for submitting a PASS and proactive ways to work with a

            PASS Specialist

5.         Tools and techniques to support beneficiaries in maintaining a PASS

6.         How PASS interacts with other benefits

Who can attend this training?

 

This supplemental web course is open to all WIPA project staff, SSA Demonstration project staff, and community partners who have participated in the CWIC Initial Training and successfully completed the CWIC assessment and certification process.   Individuals successfully completing CWIC Recertification or Provisional Certification are also included in this group.
 
To be eligible to participate in this training, all registrants must be provisionally or fully CWIC certified, or recertified!
 
All WIPA Project Directors and Managers are also encouraged to participate regardless of their certification status. 

 

Please note:   While registration is open to all, WIPA project staff will be prioritized.   We will do our best to accommodate all those wishing to attend.   Space is limited to 50 participants, so please register early!   (In the event that we are not able to accommodate your request to participate due to space, please note that the NTC will be offering this training once again in Fall 2010.)
