This two-part webinar provides practical information on how to effectively provide the full range of Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) services to veterans who receive both SSA disability benefits and disability benefits from the US Department of Defense or the Veteran’s Administration (VA). Part 2 of this training event will provide a detailed overview of the benefits available to veterans with disabilities including the disability evaluation and rating process, Military retirement based on disability, VA Disability Compensation, VA Disability Pension, healthcare benefits available from the VA, and a variety of specialized benefits for veteran’s with disabilities. This session will also cover how paid employment affects the benefits provided to veterans with disabilities as well as a description of how Military/VA disability benefits interact with SSA disability benefits.
