The WIPA National Training Center (NTC) at VCU is committed to providing high quality initial and supplemental training activities that directly address the training and technical assistance needs of CWICs and WIPA project coordinators. The purpose of this on-line assessment is to:
- Allow CWICs to have direct
input into the agenda and content of the initial training courses being developed
for the coming year, and
- Identify additional competency areas that can become topics for supplemental trainings, resource materials, and technical assistance activities.
To achieve this goal, we ask that you complete the following needs assessment survey. The survey identifies the training competencies that will tentatively form the basis of the National Training Center initial training curriculum. You are asked to rate the competencies in two ways. Please respond from your own personal experience.
- First, for each competency, please rate your CURRENT LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE. Do
you feel that you have no knowledge, a little, a lot, or a great deal of knowledge
about each of the competencies?
- Second, for each competency, please rate your PERSONAL NEED FOR TRAINING in the area. In your opinion, do you have no need, a little, some, a lot, or a great deal of need for training in the area?
In addition to rating the individual competencies, the survey also asks you to identify any other topical areas that you believe the National Training Center should address through face-to-face supplemental trainings, distance education activities, or resource materials. The information that you submit will be grouped with the information provided by other CWICs and project coordinators and used to plan upcoming training activities. Your personal responses will not be shared with anyone. Thank you very much for your assistance.
